The communication research group is working on the cutting-edge areas of the communication domain like wireless channel modelling and characterization, Wearable antenna and conformal antenna designing and simulation, wireless sensor networks, designing of Protocols for Infrastructure-less networks, leaky wave antenna designing and simulation, OFDM and MIMO technology.

Power and Control System Engineering :

The Power and Control System Group of EECE Department has been working in the research area oriented to Power System, Control system and Renewable Engineering for the sustainable growth and development. The focus is on the recent trends related to the field of Power quality, Distributed generation & Protection, Renewable energy penetration, Multi-level Invertors for SPV System, Smart Grid, Hybrid System, Reduction of Higher order Control system using different algorithm’, power electronics etc. The above-mentioned research areas are highly beneficial for the students studying in undergraduate as well as Post graduate programme.

The research works currently undergoing in the department are as follows:

• Reduction of Higher order Control System.
• Identification of fault and its location in a distributed generation system.
• Super capacitor-based smoothening of PV power generation fluctuations.
• Enhancement of controllers for wind turbine connected to grid (v) Multi-level Invertors for SPV System.

Research Facilities

From the experimental field to the theoretical field, the EECE department helps in guiding students at the undergraduate and postgraduate levels in world-class research endeavors to complete their dissertation projects headed by our faculty members. The department of EECE offers many different projects in the field of Communication and Microwave, Power and Control System Engineering AND others. The students have their hands-on experience with various instruments available in Research Labs to complete their experimental projects. Also, some of the students learn various software like MATHEMATICA, MATLAB and so on to do their theoretical projects.
