About Program

The B. Tech Energy Engineering with a specialization in Carbon Neutrality aims at a broad spectrum of energy ranging from renewable, and non-renewable with a major focus on clean energy. The program provides complete exposure to the learners about energy generation, transportation, and distribution.

The programs include courses on future fuels such as hydrogen, geothermal, biomass, nuclear, wind, and solar along with courses on climate change, environment, and net zero emissions. The program also offers the application of data analytics in energy engineering. Global initiatives such as Paris Agreement, Mission Innovation, and Green Energy Corridor will expose the learners to new horizons of opportunities.

  • This program provides a comprehensive understanding of different energy forms, energy policy, energy management, carbon capturing, and designing various energy-converting devices.
  • This program includes deep learning of power generation (Solar, Thermal, Wind, Biomass, Gas, Coal), Energy Storage (Batteries, Thermal, Hydrogen, Fuel) and Smart Grids & Buildings
  • This program offers minor subjects based on sustainable energy in the VII and VIII semesters.
  • This program accounts for the interdisciplinary development of the student.
  • This program offers software base learning with Python and machine learning.
  • 1 minor industrial training (compulsory to all -6 weeks break between VI & VII semesters)
  • 1 minor project of 1 semester
  • 1 major project in 2 semesters.

Scope of Programme

Climate change and global warming have become global issues. Almost all the nations of the world are gearing up to face the challenges as a result, there is immense global growth in the sector. Key energy players like SAIPEM, CARBFIX, SHELL, BP and ENOWA, and EMERSON are expanding their operations in the field of clean energy and climate change. Over the last couple of years, the major energy producers of India such as Reliance, Adani, Total Energy, Bharat Petroleum, Hindustan Petroleum, NTPC, Saur Energy, and S&P Global have expanded their operations resulting in immense career growth in this sector. The government of India has allotted 35000 crore rupees (union budget 2023) for energy transition will bring a bright career prospect in the field of energy.

Merit Scholarship on the basis of Percentage of marks in Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics in XII Std. / JEE Score
Greater than or equal to 90% or 1st Rank Holders of all Boards / JEE Rank Between 1-50,000 40%
Greater than or equal to 75% to < 90% / JEE Rank between 50,001-80,000 30%
Greater than or equal to 60% to < 75% / JEE Rank between 80,001-100000 20%

The Merit Scholarship is applicable for 1st year only, for subsequent years please refer to Merit based policy for subsequent/continuing years in the Scholarship Policy

Notes

  • Online Registration is Mandatory.
  • In addition to above Fee, Rs.10,000/- Admission Fee (Non-Refundable) and Rs. 5,000 Caution Money (Refundable) will be charged at the time of admission.
  • Industrial Tour Fee Rs. 25,000/- (on one semester during entire course duration)
  • All the above Scholarships are applicable only on the Program Tuition Fee.
  • Only one type of scholarship can be given, students can opt for the higher %age of scholarship.
  • Scholarship cannot be more than 100% of Tuition fee.
