Eligibility

  • Passed 10th Class Examination with 60% marks in aggregate from recognized board.
  • Passed 10+2 Examination with 60% marks in aggregate of Physics,Math,English and any one of the following subjects: Chemistry/ Computer Science/Electronics/Information Technology/ Biology/Informatics Practices/ Biotechnology/ Technical Vocational subject/ Engineering Graphics/Business Studies/Entrepreneurship.
  • Secured pass marks in Physics and Math in 10+2.

Internet of Things and Edge Computing

According to a forecast by Gartner Inc., more than 20 billion devices will be connected worldwide by the year 2020, and these devices are not Smartphones and PCs, but dedicated function objects such as connected vehicles, consumer electronic devices such as refrigerators, TVs, Lighting devices, etc. These devices, gateways, mobile phones, cloud and the enterprise together make up the IoT Computing World.

When all these devices will try to send astronomical amount of data to the cloud, it will be virtually impossible to upload this large data into cloud and handle it centrally.

Hence, to decentralize data handling, data has to be handled and processed locally to quite some extent at these devices or nearby devices – using a computing approach called Edge Computing. A B.Tech with specialization in IoT and Edge Computing will prepare graduates to be most sought after by Hi Tech companies in India and Abroad, who will be looking to recruit large number of IoT and Edge specialists from a very small available pool of qualified professionals.

Outcomes of the Program

PO1

Engineering knowledge: Apply the knowledge of mathematics, science, engineering fundamentals, and an engineering specialization to the solution of complex engineering problems.

Problem Analysis: Identify, formulate, review research literature, and analyse complex engineering problems reaching substantiated conclusions using first principles of mathematics, natural sciences, and engineering sciences.

  • Online Registration is Mandatory.
  • In addition to above Fee, Rs.10,000/- Admission Fee (Non-Refundable) and Rs. 5,000 Caution Money (Refundable) will be charged at the time of admission.
  • Industrial Tour Fee Rs. 25,000/- (on one semester during entire course duration)
  • All the above Scholarships are applicable only on the Program Tuition Fee.
  • Only one type of scholarship can be given, students can opt for the higher %age of scholarship.
  • Scholarship cannot be more than 100% of Tuition fee.
