About Program

People with interest in the human mind and behavior pursue programs in psychology to enhance the knowledge and skills of managing people around them.

The B.A. in psychology is a 3-year program designed to give a comprehensive understanding of human behavior and cognitive processes. The program gives a psychological perspective to students on human development, social processes, organizational behavior, psychological disorders and positive psychology. Students can also opt for minors in Economics/ English etc. They also get exposure on interdisciplinary areas of humanities, management and sciences. The curriculum is structured to develop their creativity, analytical skills and social awareness. Students are groomed by close faculty interaction, practical training, internships in organization and workshops by experts in the field.

Program Educational Objectives

Program Specific Outcome

PSO1

Proficiency in Subject Knowledge Exhibit the basic knowledge in the major area of psychology like cognitive abilities, abnormal psychology, biopsychology, counselling and psychotherapy, developmental psychology, social psychology, personality.

PSO2

Proficiency in Research Acumen Develop fundamental knowledge in research methodology and statistical methods in psychological research and implement the knowledge to solve qualitative and quantitative research problems.

PSO3

Proficiency in Practical Skills Synthesis and demonstration of professional skills in the field of psychology namely areas of organization, clinic, school, hospital etc..

PSO4

Proficiency in Discipline Skills Develop a broad base of knowledge in the various domains of Psychology in order to prepare for post graduate programs in various disciplines of psychology and allied fields with human behavioural element.

The Merit Scholarship is applicable for 1st year only, for subsequent years please refer to Merit based policy for subsequent/continuing years in the Scholarship Policy

Notes

  • Online Registration is Mandatory.
  • In addition to above Fee, Rs.10,000/- Admission Fee (Non-Refundable) and Rs. 5,000 Caution Money (Refundable) will be charged at the time of admission.
  • All the above Scholarships are applicable only on the Program Tuition Fee.
  • Only one type of scholarship can be given, students can opt for the higher %age of scholarship.
  • Scholarship cannot be more than 100% of Tuition fee.
