A three-day hands-on workshop on “Exploring Design Possibilities with Wood and Pipe” was organized by School of Architecture and Design from 15th to 17th November 2021, in DITU campus. The main purpose of this event was to give hands-on training on exploring design prospects through various materials to the first-year students of B. Arch and B. Des (ID). This enabled the students to ignite the perspective of creativity and broaden their vision with possible design solutions.
The event was attended by all the first year students of B.Arch (31 students) + B.Des ID (22 students) program. The department invited the artist and designer Mr. Paul Damle, who demonstrated various design strategies for materials exploration. He directed the focus of students onto the design thinking process and reflecting it though the models and sculptures.
